Chase frequently assists family ownership groups and other principals in the sale of closely held businesses, including the sale of a regional electrical products distributor to the world’s largest electrical products distributor, the sale of family-owned trucking company to a publicly traded truckload carrier and the sale of closely held cigarmaker to an international cigar producer. He also has extensive experience representing buyers in such transactions. In addition to his mergers and acquisitions practice, Chase has extensive experience in the areas of venture capital financing, corporate law and governance, securities law and public offerings. After successfully completing the start-up, development, and sale of several companies, Beth now wants to share her wealth of knowledge with current business owners. She is confident that she can help others develop plans for expansion, delegate roles within their company, and create successful exit strategies. During her seventeen years at the helm of Star Transportation, an irregular route truckload carrier, Beth was able to grow the family-owned business into one of the Top 100 companies in Nashville. Her experience with Star Transportation taught Beth valuable lessons about leadership styles, building a successful business, and putting together a feasible and lucrative exit strategy. In addition to her prominent role in Nashville’s business community, Beth is actively involved in philanthropic and community organizations, utilizing her love for business and counseling in her role on several boards of local charities and organizations. A member of the Tennessee Trucking Foundation, Beth has remained active in the transportation industry. She served as the Director of the Nashville Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank in Atlanta from 2000 to 2005, serving as Chairman in 2002 and 2005. She is currently serving on the Bank of America Nashville Advisory Board. Beth is on the Board of Overseers of the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center in Nashville, using her experience with cancer to enrich the lives of those currently impacted by the disease. In addition, Beth is on the Board of Directors for Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee. Her involvement with Second Harvest included co-chairing the 2007 Harvest Moon Ball, raising money for those less fortunate in and around Nashville.

Mr. Johnson advises large, closely held companies in a broad range of industries on business law and operational matters.
